November 10th was dedicated to celebrating science and research through lectures and presentations in chemistry, biosciences, and environmental engineering at UIS. The event highlighted the significance of close collaboration between the university and the local industry. SAR's Andreas Bakke received much praise for sharing his expertise excellently in environmental technology within the waste- and recycling sector.

Inspiration for Tomorrow's Innovators
It was considering Andreas as UIS alumni and his role in SAR and the knowledge he possesses that he was fortunate to be invited to deliver a lecture on this day. The collaboration with UIS holds great value for SAR, and we are deeply grateful for being in the spotlight on this occasion. It was a great pleasure to share insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with sustainable waste management solutions, with a primary focus on industrial wastewater, especially with such enthusiastic and motivated master's students in attendance.
Based on the positive feedback received after the event, we are thrilled that Andreas' contribution inspired the advancement of innovation across all sectors and industries in our region, aiming to foster economic growth and sustainable social development.
The theme for this year's event was for master's students to have "poster presentations" for the theses they will submit in the fall. The presentations were showcased at the Innovation Park in Stavanger, specifically at Måltidets Hus. Representatives from various industries and research institutes were invited to participate and challenge the students on their tasks. Andreas is involved in the evaluation process and providing feedback to students on their poster presentations.
