After more than 20 years at SAR, we thank our Director of HSEQ & Sustainability, Karen Aanestad, for her significant contributions to the company. Now new challenges await, and we wish her all the best moving forward.
For two decades, Karen has been a key figure in the development of our HSE, quality, and sustainability efforts. She has built a strong team and implemented improvements that have strengthened SAR for the future.
Karen has stood firm through both prosperous and challenging times, with an impressive ability to handle complex challenges and secure the necessary permits for operations and development. Her passion for the environment and sustainability has been a clear driving force, leaving a lasting mark on both the department and the company as a whole.
"Being genuine and true to myself has always been important to me. I hope to be remembered as a leader who built trust, engaged others, and fostered collaboration. I am very proud of the team we have built together. Those who join this department in the future have much to look forward to," says Karen.
