We have a strong focus on sharing experiences and knowledge – and on 25th of May, our own eminent Environmental Manager, Håvard Nateland, held a speech at the spring event for the waste industry and pollution authorities, hosted by Norsk Industri and NFFA.
What an event it was! Despite the corona virus situation and webinar format, almost 100 key people in and around the industry participated. Furthermore, we in SAR presented our opinions, as well as experiences regarding the changes of the emission permits and BAT.
Håvard emphasized the importance of continuing the good dialogue with the authorities and the industry, so that we together can set the right framework and requirements within the new permits. Working with waste - and especially hazardous waste, offers ever-increasing demands for competence and routines - from reception control to treatment, internal control and emission control.
As such, we in SAR have developed WCM - Waste Chain Management. WCM is about waste management at all levels; from customer to final downstream, and not least to understand the footprint of the whole process. That is why partnerships and collaboration are especially important to us - and Sustainable Development Goal # 17.
We need to learn from and with each other, in order to continuously move the industry forward.
Only then, can we continue to deliver good solutions for our customers and become the green, efficient industry we all aspire and work towards.
